The BUTTERFLIES Project is driving the sustainable and digital transformation of advanced manufacturing by promoting the use of biopolymers in additive manufacturing (AM).
By utilising chitin and chitosan — natural, biodegradable materials — within Binder Jetting (BJT) and Two-Photon Polymerisation (2PP) technologies, the project aims to reduce reliance on fossil-based inputs and foster greener, more sustainable production methods.
