The BUTTERFLIES Project is taking flight at the 79th International
Institute of Welding Annual Assembly 2026!
The project is now in Salzburg, bringing biointelligent manufacturing into the
conversation with the international welding and joining community.
Throughout the event, visitors can find BUTTERFLIES at the
European Federation for Welding, Joining and Cutting (EWF) booth, meet the team and catch
up on the project’s latest developments.
The journey continues on Wednesday, 15 July, when BUTTERFLIES
Project will be featured at the IIW Members Meeting.
The project update will highlight how natural biopolymers such as chitin and chitosan are
being combined with advanced Additive Manufacturing technologies to support more
sustainable production.
From the booth to the Members Meeting, we are proud to bring BUTTERFLIES
